• 1. After using the steam hose on the EC680/EC685, why are the control panel lights flashing?

    The 2 lights 1 cup and 2 cups blink after using the steam function, which means that the temperature inside the machine is too high for the coffee making temperature. Lower the temperature of the coffee maker by turning the hot water faucet knob to position I to continuously boil water. The machine automatically stops, turns the knob to position O and makes normal coffee.

  • 7. Water leaking outside the water tank?

    Take out the water tank and reattach it to the correct position, check that the contact point of the water tank with the machine is dirty and place the water tank as close to the body as possible. If there is still a leak, please bring the device to the nearest service center.

  • 8. How to improve milk quality and milk foam?

    We recommend pasteurized milk, stored in the refrigerator at 2-4 degrees Celsius.

  • 9. How often should I descale my coffee machine?

    The EC680-685 automatically notifies when you need to clean and descale the machine, at which time the light flashes orange. Please see the User's Manual in the section Cleaning and descaling.

  • 10. My machine won't start?

    Please check whether the power plug is properly plugged in, press the start button, the lights are on or not. If other devices still work, please bring the device to the nearest service center.

  • 11. Does my coffee machine drip coffee or sometimes can't make coffee?

    Try attaching the filter to the machine without coffee in the filter, press the coffee maker button to see if there is water or not. If the water still comes out, please check if the coffee is too smooth or the coffee is buttery – adjust the coffee properly. If you install the filter without coffee and the water still does not come out, remove the filter and press the button to make coffee, if the water still comes out, it means your filter is clogged  replace the filter with a new one.

  • 12. Why is the steam generator still flashing orange after cleaning and descaling?

    Due to incorrect or complete cleaning process, please review the user manual and follow the steps correctly.

  • 13. Why does water flow around the filter with coffee powder when making coffee?

    Because the coffee is too fine, adjust the coffee to be coarser. The contact line at the coffee-making throat has been damaged and needs to be replaced, contact the nearest Delonghi service centers to replace the components.
